We've joined the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter

We are proud to announce our accreditation from the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, a recognition of our commitment to creating a workplace that prioritises fairness, wellbeing, and opportunity for all.

For over 50 years, we have been dedicated to transforming lives, not just through our support for those experiencing homelessness but also by creating a workplace culture that empowers our team to thrive. Becoming Charter Members reinforces our commitment to the key characteristics of good employment such as security, flexibility, employee engagement, and health and wellbeing.

Through our work in Rochdale, Oldham, and Burnley, we understand the importance of stability, and dignity. To provide this for the people accessing our support, we also need to ensure our staff feel the same. Joining the Charter ensures that Petrus remains an employer that champions equality, diversity, and inclusion, providing opportunities for growth and progression to all.

Petrus Charity Director, Sonia Denham said: "We’re so proud to receive this wonderful accreditation from the GM Good Employment Charter. It is a testament to our dedication to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported to flourish. We look forward to continuing our journey to raise employment standards and make Petrus an even greater place to work."

As we move forward, we will continue refining our employment practices, supporting our team, and upholding the principles of the Charter. This milestone reflects not just our commitment to those we serve but also to the incredible individuals who drive Petrus' mission every day.
