Glow the distance to end homelessness

Grab your glowsticks and brightest clothing and help us light up the night to end homelessness!

As autumn draws in and the nights grow longer, we’re preparing for our busiest season. And we need you by our side.

The number of people rough sleeping has more than doubled over the last decade and every day more people find themselves facing housing insecurity and homelessness.

Will you walk with us, and help fund:

  • Food for all – from hot meals at our Hub to emergency food parcels and vouchers
  • Dignity for all – hot showers, clean clothes, laundry facilities, and access to toiletries
  • Hope for all – a kind ear and expert support to help people find and keep stable housing

On average we support up to 800 people facing housing insecurity and other challenges every year. Your support can make a real difference!

Walk with us and help vulnerable people find light in darkness.

Neon Night Walk FAQs

How far is the walk, and what is the route?

The walk will cover a 2.5km route, starting from Rochdale Town Hall and ending at our Hub. The route will be along pavements and mostly in well lit areas.

How long will it take?

Registrations will start at 6pm and we plan to start walking at 6:45pm. Before we set off, there will be a fun, aerobics-style warm up to get the party started! The walk itself will take about half an hour.

What do I need to bring?

Glowing enthusiasm and bottled water!

What happens if the weather is bad?

We will keep an eye on the weather as the event draws closer but expect to be going ahead rain or shine! Please make sure you dress appropriately for the weather, bringing waterproofs, warm clothing and appropriate, comfy shoes.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, pets can’t take part in this event.

Do I need to fundraise to take part?

Our goal is to raise as much money to support vulnerable people who will need our services throughout winter. Donations, no matter how large or small, will make a difference, so please try to collect some sponsorship for taking part.

You can set up your fundraising page on Enthuse or download a sponsor form here.
