Donate to Petrus
As a charity we rely on your generosity to support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
In just 12 months, Petrus supported over 1,330 homeless men and women.

Ways to donate
Please support us with a single or regular donation:
- Setup a regular Direct Debit via Virgin Money Giving
- Make a one-off donation via Virgin Money Giving
- Send a cheque payable to Petrus Community to our Head Office.
Thank you for your support.

Petrus is eligible for Gift Aid
Gift Aid allows charities such as Petrus to get an extra 25p for every £1 donated.
This means if you donate £20 to us with Gift Aid, we’d receive £25.
So instead of donating the cost of 20 meals, you’d have helped pay for 25!
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a scheme which allows UK charities like us to claim back from HMRC the basic rate of tax our donors have paid. It increases the value of donations we receive by 25%, meaning more money can go towards supporting people experiencing homelessness – and it won’t cost you extra!
For charities to claim Gift Aid on your donation, you'll need to make a declaration by simply ticking the Gift Aid box when donating online. This just confirms that you’re a UK tax payer.

Donate goods
Petrus is always in need of donations to support people who use the Hub services or live in our schemes. Whether it is food, clothing, furniture or toiletries, any donation is greatly appreciated. These items include:
- Blankets
- Sleeping bags
- Gloves, hats and scarves – for men and women
- Underwear – for men and women
- Toiletries including sanitary products
- Coffee, tea and sugar.
We can’t accept anything homemade.
Our Facebook and Twitter pages are kept up-to-date with anything that we are in particular need of.

Donating goods to the Petrus Community Store
The Petrus Community Store sells second-hand-quality goods such as furniture, homeware, books, music, clothing and more.
All funds raised helps to support people experiencing homelessness in the local area.
