Rochdale AFC Community Trust and Petrus have both been dedicated to serving the Rochdale Community for many years and now we’re coming together to raise vital funds for some of the most vulnerable people in our community!

We’re joining together to host a special Sleep Out – so no one is left out. It’s all about supporting the Rochdale Community.

We’re calling on the local community to join our Sleep Out and help us…

  • End homelessness and create safe places where all people can flourish with Petrus, and
  • Make Rochdale a better place to live, work and play with Rochdale AFC Community Trust

Why take part?

By challenging yourself to take part in our Sleep Out, you’ll begin to understand the experience of people sleeping rough around Rochdale. During this event you can expect to hear from people Petrus have supported out of homelessness, learn more about homelessness in your local area and the vital work Petrus and Rochdale AFC Community Trust do to support vulnerable people.

Sleep Out FAQ's

Who can take part?

This event is open to individuals, businesses and community groups. All participants must be over 18 years old.

How will my fundraising help?

All the money you raise will be split evenly between Petrus Community and Rochdale AFC Community Trust and used to support the charities’ local projects. Examples of these include stocking the Petrus Hub Kitchen and Rochdale AFC Community Trusts community pantry.

How old do I need to be to take part?

This event is for over 18’s only. 

What should I bring with me?

You are responsible for bringing your own kit and we will email a full kit list to you prior to the event. Your kit should include:

  • Sleeping bag
  • Camping Roll Mat (or something similar like a foam Yoga Mat)
  • Pillow
  • Warm clothing e.g trousers, thermals, jumper, layers, extra socks, jacket, hat, gloves, scarf  (even in summer you’ll feel those temperatures drop!)
  • Waterproof clothing
  • Snacks
  • Additional blankets
  • Water or water bottle, wipes and sanitiser

Can I bring my pet with me?

No, unfortunately no pets will be allowed at this event.
