Uniting for a powerful night of change

We're joining forces with Rochdale AFC Community Trust for a ‘Sleep Out,’ fundraiser to support some of the most vulnerable people in the community.

‘Sleep out so no one is left out,’ will take place on Friday, 29th August 2025 at Rochdale Football Club's Crown Oil Arena. Participants will spend a night outside experiencing just a fraction of what it’s like to sleep rough, while raising vital funds for vulnerable members of the community.

The event aims to raise awareness of sleeping rough, and the support both charities offer for local people. Throughout the night, participants will learn more about homelessness in your local area and the vital work Petrus and Rochdale AFC Community Trust do to support vulnerable people.

Together, our charities present an impressive record of service in Rochdale and the surrounding boroughs. For over 50 years, we have supported people experiencing homelessness, creating safe places and offering pathways to brighter futures. Rochdale AFC Community Trust, with nearly four decades of impactful service, works tirelessly to make Rochdale a healthier, safer, and more inclusive place to live, work and play.

Petrus Wellbeing and Engagement Service Manager, Silvana Devine said: “We’re excited to be joining forces with Rochdale AFC Community Trust to deliver this important event and help give our community a better understanding of the challenges people experiencing homelessness face. The event will spark meaningful conversations about homelessness and how both charities are working to support vulnerable people locally.”

Rochdale AFC Community Trust Deputy Director Scott Webster says: “Sleep out so no one is left out promises to be a thought-provoking and memorable event! We work closely with Petrus already and find many people that we support are accessing Petrus’ services too. Coming together on this fundraiser will allow us to help even more people and transform lives.”

All funds raised from the event will be evenly split between Petrus and Rochdale AFC Community Trust, ensuring donations support a broad spectrum of transformative local work.
