Vicolo Del Vino becomes Petrus' first Kitchen Twin

Vicolo Del Vino has become the first restaurant to join Petrus’ new Kitchen Twinning Programme, which calls for local restaurants, cafes and even workplaces to ‘twin,’ their kitchen with the kitchen at Petrus’ hub. In doing so they can help us provide free meals for homeless and vulnerable people.

Petrus Wellbeing and Engagement Service Manager, Silvana Devine said, “We wanted to create a simple way for local people and businesses to support the work of our hub for homeless people. Kitchen Twins will help us provide meals for those in need by making an annual donation to Petrus.”

Petrus has been providing support for those who have experienced, or who are at risk of being homeless in Rochdale, for more than 50 years. Unfortunately, the number of people needing our support continues to rise.

Vicolo Del Vino owner Michael Howarth commented, “We’re proud to be the first to join this exciting new initiative and become a Kitchen Twin for Petrus. We’re committed to serving our local community and hope our customers will be happy to know that when they’re enjoying a meal with us, it’s helping serve up meals for people in need.”

We hope that many other businesses in the area will join the programme and help us meet the growing need for support.

Silvana continues, “We’re blessed to have lots of amazing local businesses in Rochdale who are committed to supporting the community and we hope many more will join the programme. It’s a great way to show your customers and employees that you care and make every meal you serve taste that little bit sweeter!”

Businesses that join the programme receive a certificate to proudly display in their venue, showing their commitment to the cause.

We provide meals for those in need, Monday to Friday from 9am – 3pm and on Saturdays 9am – 12pm. Our kitchen holds a food hygiene rating of 5, upholding the highest standards for service users.
