We’re delighted to share that funding from Action Together’s Prevention Fund means our Hub can now reopen on Saturdays, giving vulnerable people an extra day of support this winter.
Last year, the Hub welcomed over 24,000 visits from people seeking help with housing, food, and wellbeing. In the winter months alone, we provided:
- 7,033 hot meals
- 184 emergency food parcels
- 692 food bank vouchers
This new funding helps us extend our opening hours, but the food we serve still relies entirely on donations. Here’s how you can help:
- Add a little extra to your shop: Non‑perishable items like tinned goods, pasta, rice, and cupboard staples are always welcome.
- Send supplies directly: Through Give Today, you can purchase food or toiletry bundles delivered straight to the Hub.
- Become a monthly donor: Regular giving provides stability. Just £5 a month can fund a week’s worth of meals for someone in need.
Donations can be dropped at 73 Great George Street, Rochdale, OL16 1QG, Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm.
This grant, provided by Rochdale Borough Council, supports the VCFSE sector to embed preventative support alongside emergency services, helping us make a bigger difference this winter and beyond.
