Reviewing the Women's Code of Practice for Employers during Good Employment Week

As a proud Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter Accredited Employer, Petrus is committed to helping shape the future of good employment across Greater Manchester.

Recently, members of our team, Sonia and Toni, worked alongside the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter to review its newly developed Women's Code of Practice for Employers and discuss the practicalities of embedding the Code across workplaces throughout the city-region.

The Code has been developed through extensive engagement, research and lived-experience conversations with women across Greater Manchester.

It aims to support employers in examining the workplace systems and practices that influence women's experiences and outcomes, focusing on:

  • Recruitment and Access
  • Flexible and Fair Work Design
  • Pay
  • Progression
  • Power Health, Wellbeing and Life Stages

We're proud to contribute to conversations that challenge barriers, promote gender equality, and support more inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.

During #GoodEmploymentWeek 2026, we're celebrating the importance of good employment and positive workplace cultures across Greater Manchester.
