We’re delighted that Petrus has been selected as one of just five local charities in our region to take part in the Lidl Plus Customer Voting Campaign.
From 24 September to 7 October, customers will be able to open a dedicated banner on the Lidl Plus app home page, select their region and vote for one of five shortlisted local causes. Every charity receives funding, but the more votes we receive, the more funding Petrus could secure, with up to £10,000 available.

Every vote matters, and could make a real difference to the people we support.
How it works
The five participating causes in each area have been shortlisted according to local deprivation needs. The selection process uses the Neighbourly Pulse tool, which brings together local community and deprivation data to help identify areas and organisations requiring support.
Why your vote matters
At Petrus, we work every day to support people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity and social isolation across Rochdale.
Our Hub provides a safe and welcoming place where people can access essential services including:
- Free meals and hot drinks
- Showers and clean clothing
- Laundry facilities
- Toiletries and personal care items
- Housing advice and support
- Help for people sleeping rough
Supporting people beyond a crisis
Our work extends far beyond immediate support. Petrus provides supported housing for more than 200 residents, helping people develop life skills, manage tenancies and move towards independent living.
We also deliver programmes that help people improve their wellbeing, build confidence and reconnect with their communities. This includes activities at PIER, our community allotment, where people can grow food, learn new skills and enjoy the benefits of spending time outdoors.
Partnerships such as Changing Lives FC, delivered alongside Rochdale AFC, provide opportunities for people to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, develop new skills and form positive social connections.

- Open your Lidl Plus app and log in as a Lidl Plus customer
- Click the dedicated voting banner on the home page
- Select your region
- Vote for Petrus!
