Church Action on Poverty and Christian Aid Study

Church Action on Poverty and Christian Aid Study
Church Action on Poverty and Christian Aid have been engaged in a comparative study of poverty in this country and in the Third World which will culminate in a conference in Manchester on 8th November.

They requested a chance to talk with some of our service users, and this took place recently at Craig Lee House.

It was humbling to hear the experiences of our service users who talked movingly of their marriages, their children, their employment histories, and their experiences of becoming homeless and sleeping on the street and the stresses of having too little money to live on.

It was also good to establish a link with the new Bishop of Manchester, himself a 'Manchester Man'.
