Job opportunity – Project Worker, Women in Prison

Women in Prison (WIP) are a unique national charity providing support, advice and guidance to women in prison or at risk of offending. We currently have the following vacancy based in Manchester:
Project Worker
28 hours/week
£21,786.00 per annum, pro rata, fixed term contract until 31stth March 2021.
This role is based at Women in Prison's Manchester women's centre 'WomenMATTA', and will involve assertive outreach and one-to-one support to women involved in, or at risk of being involved in, the criminal justice system. Responsive to the individual needs of women, you will develop individual support plans that address their mental health, housing, domestic violence, substance misuse, financial and other identified needs. You will also have a lead role in facilitating WomenMATTA's weekly drop in, which provides a safe space for all women over 18 to access support, socialise and partake in activities and workshops to help build self esteem and life skills.
With extensive experience of supporting vulnerable women with a range of complex needs, you will also have experience of undertaking detailed needs/risk assessments and an NVQ3 in social care (or equivalent).
