Celebrating The Completion Of Greave House Building Works

The Mayor and Mayoress of Rochdale Councillors Surinder & Cecile Biant were special guests at a celebration event arranged to mark the completion of significant building improvement works at the Greave House supported housing service.

Greave House provides vital support and re-ablement services for local woman and men who have mental health needs, operated in partnership between the Petrus Community and Rochdale Councilís Community Restart Team.

Following an asset transfer of the property from Rochdale Council to the Petrus Community. The Petrus Community then entered in to a sub-lease arrangement with the Regenda Group who jointly worked with Petrus to carry out the refurbishment works.

Petrus paid for the extensive building improvement works which will not only provide an excellent standard of accommodation for for the 21st century but has also, due to demand been able to increase the number of units from 11 to 14.

The Regenda Group in partnership with the Petrus Community now have responsibilities for the upkeep and oversight of the premises.

It is a fine example of a true partnership and inter-agency involving Rochdale Council, the Petrus Community and the Regenda Group who with financial support from the NHS and the Councilís Adult Care section which has enabled the establishment and development of an exceptional service which following the building improvement works accommodates 14 people and also operates a brief intervention crisis unit for up to 3 adults at any one time.
