The Petrus Pedals Community Cycling Club and Bike Kitchen to launch on Saturday 24 March.

Opening at the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre, visitors to the store can get help and advice from professionals on how to fix and maintain their bike; there will also be affordable second hand bikes available for sale.

The project aims to encourage anyone to get on their bike more, including service users and the general public.

As you may know our sculpture project funded by Kew Gardens Grow Wild has begun and is so far looking like it will be fantastic. We have now changed the venue for the sessions to the new Petrus Shop in the Rochdale Exchange as this will help us to make the sessions more accessible. There is lots to get involved in and things that everybody can do whether they pop in for one session or every session.

Positive start to the new year for Rochdale homelessness charity

M&Y Maintenance and Construction has pledged to help refurbish the Petrus Community Hub, a homelessness centre based in Rochdale. Petrus Hub offers a range of essential day support services to vulnerable people, where those who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless can access advice and support, along with more practical help such as shower and laundry facilities and a daily breakfast.

Hidden Tales

Members of the Petrus Community presented an eclectic mix of short films, spoken word and live music at Rochdale Literature and Ideas Festival at Touchstones on Thursday 20th October 2016.

The event was part of Hidden Tales, a project developed in partnership between Petrus and Community Arts North West, which aims to give expression to the unique wit and profound narrative of the Petrus service users and volunteers.
