M&Y Maintenance and Construction has pledged to help refurbish the Petrus Community Hub, a homelessness centre based in Rochdale. Petrus Hub offers a range of essential day support services to vulnerable people, where those who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless can access advice and support, along with more practical help such as shower and laundry facilities and a daily breakfast.

Members of the Petrus Community presented an eclectic mix of short films, spoken word and live music at Rochdale Literature and Ideas Festival at Touchstones on Thursday 20th October 2016.
The event was part of Hidden Tales, a project developed in partnership between Petrus and Community Arts North West, which aims to give expression to the unique wit and profound narrative of the Petrus service users and volunteers.

We are currently looking for volunteers with an interest in art to help to create a 24 metre long art and information wall at the allotment on Belfield Road as part of our Grow Wild Homes To Habitats project.
We would particularly like to engage young people aged 12 – 25 although anybody is welcome to join us. Please see the poster below and circulate to anyone who may be interested in taking park either in creating the art wall or supporting volunteers to do so.

These are exciting times for Petrus Community. In the last couple of months Petrus has been undergoing some dramatic changes - all to the good. We have received funding from the Homeless Transition Fund, from the Health and Social Care Volunteer Fund and from the local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group to help us with our work as follows:
