The Petrus Community has been providing supported housing and related services to homeless people since 1972.

Project Aims

To provide accommodation for 15 service users aged 18 and upwards for 12 month period.

To provide accommodation for people with multiple chronic needs, for people with a diagnosed mental health issues and/or secondary issues such as alcohol/substance misuse.

To operate a high quality supported accommodation project that meets the basic needs of the client group.

To assist residents and the wider community to take part in group activities and advice sessions which promote personal well-being and independent living skills.


Each service user has key working sessions tailored to their needs using client dial indicators.

Areas of need are identified and support plans are structured to meet residents needs.

As part of their support, service users participate in house meetings and take part in structured activites with Petrus Incredible Edible Rochdale and at the Petrus Hub.

The accommodation comprises 3 self-contained flats and 12 bedrooms plus communal living space.
